The céilí and set dancing classes continue on a Thursday night in the Horseleap Streamstown Community Centre from 8.30 to 10pm.Please feel free to come along and enjoy the craic. Even if you cannot commit to every week please come along.CardsThe following are the results from the game held on Monday last the 20th of October where raffle winners were €15 Ger Cooney, €10 Eilish McDonnell, €10 Simon Boland, €10 Johnny Ward. The winners on 10 games were Ger Cooney and Maureen Farrell, Johnny Ward and Mickey Carroll and each couple received €30. The table prize winners were Marie Moran and Anne Sheerin, Mark Boland and Attracta Colgan, Aidan and Bernadette McCormack and each couple received €10. Well done to all of the winners. At this moment the Committee are reviewing the running of the Cards and an appeal is being made once again for card players to return to the game to make it a fair game on those playing, to receive something worthwhile for their efforts and also feasible for running. It has been a great tradition for over 20 years now and has kept a steady income going for the running costs. So please if you can play cards please make time for the game on a Monday night.Annual Table Quiz and AuctionThis Friday night Darragh Fallon waits in anticipation for the support and goodwill of people for the Annual Table Quiz and Auction in aid of The Caring for Kids Project. Last year alone the sum of €4135 was raised, the funds of which go towards sick and orphaned children in Ireland, Belarus and Vietnam. This year the date has been set for Friday the 7th of November in Ryan"s of Horseleap at 9.30pm.Teams of 4 cost €20 and there will also be an auction on the night. If anyone would like to donate items for auction or support please contact Darragh, Gerry or Eileen Fallon. The Guild are commencing Art Classes in November.St David"s ChurchIn recent times work has been carried out on in St David"s Church grounds in Ardnurcher under the guidance of the Horseleap Streamstown Community Association.Following this work it is no a little easier to look around at the history that is available there. IN the coming months the Committee are hoping to raise funds to go towards the upkeep and maintenance of the graveyard to encourage visitation to this site.CommunityAssociationA date has been set for the Annual Christmas Concert and Fundraising Raffle for Friday the 19th of December. A full list of artists is being drawn up so if you would like to be included please let any Committee member know.
