Taghmon Turin parish marks Eucharist Congress with dawn Mass
Parishioners from Taghmon Turin celebrated Mass on the grounds of the 7th century St Munna's church in Crookedwood on Sunday to mark the 50th International Eucharistic Congress.Hundreds attended the Mass which began at 4.30am.An organising committee has been working hard all year to plan a range of events to celebrate the congress.A parish mission will take place later this year and a permanent monument will be erected to mark the congress year.Since June 2011, the congress candle has been visited more than 100 homes in the parish and a procession was also held to celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi.A DVD of the Mass is available for â¬10 - contact Tom Shaw on 044 9372182.
