Funds for four road projects
An allocation of €720,100 has been announced today, Monday, for works on a series of specific road schemes in Westmeath.
Director of Services, Martin Murray, told members of Mullingar Municipal District at their monthly meeting that four roads projects in the Mullingar Municipal District Area are to receive funding from the pot, which is coming from Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII).
The four are the N52 Cavestown/Rosmead, which is to receive €86,300; Portnashangan Junction, for which €111,000 has been announced; The Covert, Ballinafid, which has been allocated another €111,000 and a junction at Rathowen, for which the allocation is €91,800.
The remainder of the overall allocation is going to the Athlone Municipal District area.
