The Bloomfield House Hotel, Leisure Club & Spa, Mullingar is the Family Hotel of the Year Leinster in the Irish Hotel Awards.
The four-star hotel on Lough Ennell was also awarded a Great Place to Stay Quality Award based on researcher visits.
All hotels in the running were individually assessed and judged by a panel of industry professionals, and Bloomfield House came out on top.
The award was perfectly timed as Bloomfield House Hotel has just reopened after temporarily closing in March to assist with preventing the spread of Covid-19.
The hotel and dining facilities reopened on Monday June 29 and the Leisure Club and Spa on Friday.
“We are delighted with these awards and we are delighted to see guests arriving and a great buzz throughout the Hotel once again,” said Ronan Byrne, general manager.
“Covid-19 specific measures, with enhanced procedures and training have been introduced, all of which are aimed at ensuring our staff and guests are protected.”
A comprehensive outline of all our safety measures is available for all our guests to see online to help make our guests even more comfortable when they come to visit,” said Mr Byrne.
