Cycle with Greg LeMond!

Greg LeMond (former professional cyclist from the United States and a three-time winner of the Tour de France) will be in Trim on October 7 to participate in the HADD Charity cycle.Greg LeMond became the first American and the first non-European cyclist to win the Tour de France. He is one of eight cyclists to have won the tour three or more times.The HADD charity cycle takes place as part of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) awareness week and is organised in association with Meath Local Sports Partnership and Clonard Cycle Club.Greg LeMond has ADHD and as a result of this, is a huge supporter of the charity internationally.On the day, there will be two distances for cyclists to chose from - 40km and 10km family spin.Both distances start and finish at the Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim. Cyclists can book online for the 40k up until 5pm Thursday October 4 at the cost of €20; registration on the day for the 40k will cost €25Family registration will be taken only on the day - cost for family participation: €3 per child under 16 years and €6 for all other participants over 16years. All proceeds go directly to the HADD charity.The 40k spin will commence at 12.30pm and the family spin at 1pm. Registration for both will be open from 11am in the Knightsbrook Hotel.Refreshments will be served afterwards for both distances in the hotel. There is a water stop on the Hill of Tara for participants on the 40k spin.All cyclists must wear a hard shell helmet regardless of age.
