Diamond date for Laurence and Nancy
On June 13 in 1960, Laurence and Nancy Ennis of Gneevebawn, Tyrrellspass, stood before a congregation of family and friends and vowed to love and honour each other in sickness and in health.
Sixty years on, they are still honouring that pledge - but sadly the coronavirus pandemic led to cancellation of the big party at Tyrrellspass Castle planned by their family for the anniversary date.
However, once the restrictions were eased the family held a small celebration outdoors at their family home.
Their three sons and three daughters, Laurence, Ann, Mary, Joseph, Paula and John, along with all their families wish Nancy and Laurence good health and happiness for many years to come, thanking them for all the love and care they have shown.
Wonderfully for Laurence and Nancy, their best man and matron of honour, Joseph Ennis, Gneevebawn and Mrs Rita Meehan Dysart are still part of their lives.
