Gardaí find shotgun in graveyard

Gardaí recovered a firearm and quantity of ammunition during a search operation in Offaly today.

The searches were carried out by gardaí from Tullamore investigating criminal activity in the area.

A sawn-off shotgun and a quantity of ammunition were recovered when gardaí searched a graveyard. An examination of the scene is ongoing and no arrests have been made to date.
