Harriers group complete Dublin Marathon - in Mullingar

Declan Costello, Jane Creevy, Mary Stewart, Criona Reid, Joan Hickson and Linda O’Driscoll, members of Mullingar Harriers, (above) ran the Virtual KBC Dublin Marathon today.

They were among thousands of people across the country who ran the marathon in their own areas, and recorded times and distances recorded on the official app.

Entrants were asked to run the full marathon, half marathon, 10km or 4 mile routes over the October bank holiday weekend, while adhering to Covid-19 restrictions.

The Harriers started separately and ran as a socially distanced group on a group in and around Mullingar to finish on the canal tow path near the Dublin bridge.

The local runners’ times were:

Mary Stewart (3:44, a PB)

Criona Reid (3:45)

Linda O’Driscoll (3:55, a PB)

Jane Creevy (4:02)
