Dog fouling signs are available at the customer service desk at the County Buildings in Mullingar for residents associations to collect, Cllr Mick Dollard was informed at the last Mullingar Area meeting.

The Labour Party man had called on the council to “put in place appropriate signage regarding dog fouling” at the front of Ginnell Terrace and on Clonmore Road.

Council official Dave Hogan said that the council will erect signage “where appropriate”. Residents associations can pick up additional signage in the County Buildings, he said.

Cllr Dollard was also informed that the council will carry out an examination of the parcel of land at the end of Assumption Villas, but that any proposal “would be subject to the availability of funding”.
