New general manager for Regional Hospital Mullingar

It was announced this week that Ms Anita Brennan will be leaving Regional Hospital Mullingar to take up another important, similar, position within the Ireland East Hospital Group, at the end of the month.

Ms Brennan took on the role of general manager in the hospital in 2019 and during her time she has successfully guided the hospital through an unprecedented global pandemic, while at the same time securing large scale investment that will benefit the hospital for years to come.

The CEO of the Ireland East Hospital Group, Declan Lyons, said: “Anita’s contribution to the development of the Regional Hospital Mullingar has been invaluable and she has guided the hospital expertly through the unprecedented Covid19 pandemic.

“She is a professional that always places patients at the forefront of her decision making and I appreciate that she will be missed by the staff and team around her. However, Anita is moving to take up another important role within our group.”

Replacing Ms Brennan as general manager will be current operations and Clinical Services manager, Ms Kay Slevin.

Ms Slevin also brings a wealth of service management experience to this role and will lead the development of the hospital in the coming years.
