Westmeath libraries extend their services
In line with the increased easing of Covid 19 restrictions, Westmeath Libraries has extended is services from today.
As well as offering browsing and borrowing facilities, the public will now be able to book a study space or use a computer or Wi-Fi. In addition, people can now access the Local Studies departments in Athlone and Mullingar.
In order to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit, the library service asks that people maintain physical distancing and good hand hygiene and that visits should not exceed two hours. People are also encouraged to continue using the self-service kiosks to issue and return items.
People can download the free Westmeath Libraries App which will allows you to search the catalogue and checkout your own books using your phone.
Surfbox printers will be available for photocopying and to collect printing ordered remotely.

The public computers may be booked for 15 minute or 1 hour sessions.

Events remain unavailable until October 22.
Athlone, Mullingar, Moate, Castlepollard and Kilbeggan will open with late night service on Thursdays. Kilbeggan Library opening hours have been extended to include Mondays.
There will be a limit on the number of visitors allowed into each library at any one time. Everyone should continue to wear a face covering while in the libraries.
