Raharney Hurling Club scoops €5,000 prize from Allianz

Raharney Hurling Club have been selected as one of four clubs nationwide to win €5,000 as part of a unique Allianz GAA offer created to mark the 2021 Allianz Leagues.

In a challenging year for sport and GAA clubs, Allianz, who have supported Gaelic Games for 29 years, wanted to demonstrate its support by giving back to clubs across the country.

The four lucky clubs who have each been awarded €5,000 were Raharney in Westmeath, St Naul’s in Donegal, Carnmore in Galway, and Sliabh Rua in Cork.

The exclusive GAA offer from Allianz not only gives new and existing customers great discounts on their car or home insurance, but Allianz have also donated €10 for each policy purchased to a nominated GAA club.

All customers availing of the offer during the Allianz Leagues season were also automatically entered into a draw to win €5,000 for their nominated club, with Raharney selected as the Leinster winner.

Allianz has sponsored the Allianz Leagues for 29 years and Allianz Cumann na mBunscol, the competition for primary school students, since 1993 making them one of the longest running supporters of Gaelic Games across Ireland. Allianz is also the insurer of over 2,200 GAA clubs nationally.
