WATCH: The late Ned Flynn on Where In The World? in 1995

He may have passed on last year, but one of north Westmeath's most respected and much missed residents has made an appearance on Twitter.

Footage of the late Ned Flynn on the hit 90s RTE 1 quiz show Where In The World in 1995 was posted on the KillianM2 TV Archive Twitter page yesterday.

Ned, who for many years was the go-to quizmaster in north Westmeath, setting the questions and delivering them in his own inimitable style, and his three team mates took home £500, not a small amount of money 27 years ago.

Ned passed away on April 9 last year. A native of Castletown-Finea, he was renowned beyond the borders of Westmeath for possessing the “gift of the gab” and for his passion for Gaelic games, thanks to his punditry work on Midlands 103.
