Dolores Keaveney doing a book reading was a highlight of the afternoon at Eason Mullingar on Saturday. The author was guest of honour on the day two book clubs at the shop were launched.
They are ‘Wordsmyths’ and ‘Where the Wild Books Are’, which are aimed at general and younger readers respectively.
The book loving team at Eason will each month choose a title for each club and the shop will offer 10 per cent off those titles for the month.
Club members will find envelopes at the back of their books, where they will be questions and areas of interest from readings, and for the younger readers, there will also be activity sheets.
Anyone interests in ‘Wordsmyths’ can connect with Eason on Facebook.
“Reading brings a special joy to all of us, and Eason Mullingar hope that this platform might bring us all a little closer too,” said Therese, manager of the shop.
