UEFA would want to be ashamed, says Conor Moore

Conor Moore has got a huge response to these well argued points on social media.

The Mullingar man wrote:

“Tonight’s game was my first champions league final. Nightmare even trying to find our turnstile, no signs or directions, nothing! Bottlenecks everywhere!

“Anyway at about 7.30, we got to our turnstile, Gate Y. They had one gate for thousands of people! One gate!

“Thousands of Liverpool fans were just standing outside this gate…

“They closed the gate, letting no one into the stadium. We were standing there for an hour, without moving, when then they pepper sprayed us!

“Men women and children coughing and sneezing from the spray! Crazy stuff!

“Two security guards were smoking cigarettes and taking videos of frustrated fans from inside the gate.

“No communication, no direction. Just silence from them.

“Never ever have I experienced anything like this at any event.

“It took us two hours to get in. Fans were not late! And our gate didn't look to have to many fake ticket holders at it, considering that when they opened that gate after two hours, they all seemed to get in with legit tickets!

“The fans handled themselves brilliantly given the disgraceful circumstances.

“Thankfully the situation didn’t escalate to a point where people were physically hurt at the gate. It could have been devastating…

“UEFA would want to be ashamed of that tonight!

“You’d swear Stad De France were told yesterday they were holding the final!

“Utter incompetence in the organising of that! Disgraceful! And blaming the fans for it is bullshit!”
