Gibney back with another gripping crime thriller
Patricia Gibney, the bestselling author of the DI Lottie Parker series, is due to release her latest novel, The Guilty Girl, next week.
This gripping serial killer thriller is the 11th book in the Detective Lottie Parker series.
It was the true crime conviction and acquittal of Amanda Knox, in the Meredith Kercher murder case, as well as a brainstorming session with the author’s editor, that provided Patricia with some of the inspiration to write The Guilty Girl.
Patricia says: “Overall, I hope readers enjoy a few hours’ escape with a challenging mystery to engage with and to discover whodunnit.
“I think the allure of crime fiction for readers generally is that they know there will be some sort of justice in the end, which doesn’t always happen in real life.”
The Guilty Girl will be published by Bookouture on June 15 and will be available from Amazon, Apple Books, Kobo and Google Play.
About
Patricia is the million-copy bestselling author of the DI Lottie Parker series.
She yearned to be a writer after reading Enid Blyton and Carolyn Keene and even wanted to be Nancy Drew when she grew up.
She has now grown up (she thinks) but the closest she’s come to Nancy Drew is writing crime!
In 2009, after her husband died, she retired from her job and started writing seriously.
Fascinated by people and their quirky characteristics, she always carries a notebook to scribble down observations.
Patricia also loves to paint in watercolour and lives in Mullingar with her children.
