Whistlin’ Donkeys and Tumbling Paddies at Park Hotel
In celebration of the Fleadh Cheoil, The Mullingar Park present The Whistlin’ Donkeys, a lively six-piece Irish folk rock band whose unique blend of music and song has attracted a huge following.
They are making their first appearance in the Mullingar Park Hotel on two nights, Thursday August 4 and Friday August 5. Doors open 8pm; show 9pm – they will be dance style gigs with limited seating.
The support act are The Tumbling Paddies based in the County Fermanagh. One of the most energetic young Irish Folk bands of recent times, the six have developed a great interest in creating new music and song. As a result, The Tumbling Paddies have released six original hit singles in Ireland as well as an original duet with singer songwriter, Derek Ryan.
Over the last year the band have toured all around Ireland, as well as in the UK and Germany in recent times.
The Tumbling Paddies are constantly working on new music and they hope to release their first EP of all original material early next year. With their catchy original songs and distinctive take on well-known songs, they have created a unique trad, pop sound.
