The Country and Irish scene gets the Pat Shortt treatment in new comedy "WELL"
Father daughter comedy duo Pat and Faye Shortt come to Mullingar Arts Centre
Pat Shortt may be gracing the silver screen as happy-go-lucky barman Jonjo in the Hollywood big hitter, the Banshee of Inisherin, but Shortt will once again tread the boards at Mullingar Arts Centre on Saturday November 5 with his hilarious comedy 'Well'.
This time the Thurles native will have his daughter Faye Shortt in tow, as the two have collaborated, written and performed online shows The Wellness Hour with Paash and Sile and Pat Shortt's Comedy Heads.
The father and daughter comedy duo bring their madcap characters to the stage in the form of a Country and Irish music pairing, attempting to ascend the heights of their local music scene by playing a gig in the town’s hotel.
"WELL" showcases the extraordinary comedy talents of Pat and Faye and their exceptional ability to bring humour to the most everyday situation with an array of superbly funny characters.
One of country's most popular comics, Patt Shortt has had an amazing career to date. From the early days of D'Unbelievables to Killinaskully, the fourth most watched tv series in 2008, to Colm Hennessy in The Gaurd, another Michael McDonagh heavy hitter, there is no denying the man's ability to play and embody and variety of roles and characters.
Don't miss him taking on the Country and Irish music world when he comes to the Mullingar Arts Centre on November 5.
