Temperatures below -5 degrees tomorrow night
The cold weather will continue tomorrow and into at least the early days of next week, Met Éireann are forecasting.
This afternoon they issued a level Orange advisory for ‘Low Temperature/Ice’ from 5pm tomorrow, Sunday December 11.
The message from Met Éireann is: A severe frost and further icy stretches will set in on Sunday night, accompanied by patches of freezing fog. Temperatures likely to fall below -5 degrees in many areas.
The affected regions: Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Leitrim, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow.
Expected onset, Sunday 5pm; and expiry Monday noon.
