Fire service called out to hoarding fire

Mullingar's fire service was called out to fight a blaze at an old truck container, used as an advertising hoarding, at the town's Ardmore Road mid morning today, Saturday.

The container was used as a marketing sign for local business firm, Fagan Office Supplies, and had been located for some time in a field beside the rail line and the canal at Saunder's Bridge.

Gardaí were also called to the scene of the blaze.

Witnesses say that it is suspected that youngsters may have set fire to the truck.
No-one was injured in the incident
