Local students line up for National Children’s Choir at Cathedral this week

Since September fifth and six class boys and girls from St Kenny NS have been practising hard as part of the National Children’s Choir for a concert to take place this week.

Together with St Etchen’s NS of Kinnegad and Scoil na gCeithre Máistrí of Athlone, they are staging a concert in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar, on Thursday, May 11.

The concert promises to be an enjoyable event for all the family, where they can hear a rang of songs, by artists such as Mozart and U2, accompanied by a live orchestra.

There will be raffle on the night for which the prizes include tickets for Bay Sports in Athlone, a Red Earth hamper (sponsored by Slevins Coaches), an electric toothbrush and whitening kit (sponsored by Maguire Dental), and a voucher from Mullingar Hardware.

Tickets will be available on the door on the night. The concert is at 7pm; doors open at 6.30pm.
