George McMahon will be hosting an acting workshop in Mullingar Arts Centre later this month.

Fair City’s George McMahon coming to Mullingar

Actor George McMahon, probably best known for his role as Mondo in Fair City, has the tables turned on him as he directs and teaches aspiring actors of Mullingar in his ‘Acting As A Career’ workshop at the arts centre on Wednesday June 28.

In the workshop, George explores different styles of performance including improvisation, acting for camera and stage and audition prep. He will also chat about his career and share some of the mistakes he has made in his 25-year-career.

George’s roots in acting began at Mullingar Arts Centre when the Irish Drama completion ‘Slogadh’ took place there, and George’s team won the coveted Leinster trophy.

“I always love coming to Mullingar and I was so happy the arts centre were able to host my workshop there. There is a huge cohort of aspiring performers in Mullingar engaging with the arts. I’m looking forward to meeting them,” he said.

The workshop is 11am-1pm in Mullingar Arts Centre on Wednesday June 28. Text 087 257 6273 to book a place. Visit www.fb.com/GlitzStageAcademy for workshop news.
