Around 80 runners took to the roads around Multyfarnham on Saturday for this year's Derravaragh 5 Mile.

Organised by Ballinafid-Multyfarnham Community Services as a fundraiser, the race took runners on a challenging 5 mile looped course around the outskirts of Multy.

Mullingar runner Andrew Nevin was the first man home in an impressive time of 27 minutes 28 seconds, while his fellow Harrier Sinéad Whitelaw was the first female home in a time of 30 minutes 57 seconds.
