Road resurfacing at Crazy Corner Crazy Corner
The need for road repairs at Crazy Corner and a light at St Bridget’s Well was raised by Cllr Aoife Davitt at the June meeting of the Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad.
Cllr Davitt’s first request was that the district resurface and repair the road from Curraghbrack to the Crazy Corner. To that, the response was that minor repairs will be carried out as part of normal road maintenance.
Cllr Davitt sought an update on the erection of a light at St Bridget’s Well but was told the installation of a light there does not fall under the remit of the MKMD. "However, if the members are in agreement, a letter can issue to the parish authorities regarding this request," the response concluded.
Cllr Davitt explained that the situation was unusual, because at that location, there is a cycleway coming into a car park on a main road and close to a rail junction.
Auburn Lane
Cllr Davitt, at the same meeting, asked that the Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad make good the lane behind the houses on Auburn Road. The response from the district was that it would arrange for works to be carried out in the next six weeks.
