There are also eight community hubs and Broadband Connection Points (BCPs) around the county, with flexible space for meetings and hot desk facilities, including Milltown Rathconrath Community Broadband Hub, SWEETS Kilbeggan, Tuar Ard Arts Centre Moate, Ballycomoyle GAA club, Castledaly Community Centre, Clonkil Hurling Club, Ringtown GAA Club, Streete Parish Park and Community Centre.
Work, Live Westmeath is a new initiative by Westmeath County Council showcasing Westmeath’s endless possibilities as a great place to live, work or start a business.
The purpose of the project is to advertise existing co-working hubs to workers who are currently commuting long distances to work, and to promote the county as a desirable and viable relocation option for those seeking an excellent work life balance.
In addition to being a remote working hub, Mullingar e-Working Centre is home to TUS Learning Gate a community space where TUS students and academic staff can meet and learn together through the provision of online programmes.
Westmeath is a vibrant county that boasts a scenic and rich natural environment with a great quality of life, rich in arts, culture, and heritage. Its central location, with excellent transport links to major cities, makes it the ideal county for remote and hybrid working and an excellent place for business entrepreneurs to start, grow or scale their business.
The Remote Working Marketing Scheme is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development, in partnership with local authorities and Connected Hubs, under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2022, to support innovative marketing campaigns to attract remote workers to locations across rural Ireland.
