Expert Electrical Mullingar announce partnership with AsIAm
Expert Electrical, whose HQ is in Mullingar, have announced that they have selected AsIAm, Ireland’s national autism charity, as charity partner.
The announcement was made at their recently re-fitted store at The Globe Retail Park on the Monread Road in Naas.
The partnership involves Expert Electrical organising fundraising events at their 70 stores nationwide, including in Mullingar, which are owned and run locally, encouraging customers and staff to engage with the charity.
The chain will also work with AsIAm to create an Autism-friendly hour, educate staff in stores so they can better serve all those in their areas. They will also participate in AsIAm’s existing fundraisers.
At the announcement, Ciaran O’Reilly, CEO of Expert Electrical, said: “Expert Electrical stores already support and sponsor a number of different charities and will continue to do so – but as a group we wanted to be able to combine our fundraising efforts towards one charity so that we can make a significant contribution and also raise awareness of the work AsIAm do.”
AsIAm CEO, Adam Harris added: “Expert Electrical have a proud track record in supporting national and local causes and we are so pleased to be benefiting from their support. AsIAm work to remove barriers for autistic people and families so that every one is accepted ‘as they are’ in their local communities and has the same chance to live, work and play alongside their non-autistic peers.
“We undertake work in communities across Ireland, including the delivery of group-based support programmes to children and adults, the operation of the Autism Information Line and our Autism-Friendly Towns programme. We believe Expert Electrical are well placed to be superb partners in supporting the growth of this activity through their footprint in communities across Ireland.”
