Dr Norah Patten keynote speaker for Midlands Career Expo
The Midlands Career Expo returns to Mullingar this month with a line-up of esteemed guest speakers, including Dr Norah Patten and Niall Breslin (Bressie).
The event, on September 23 at Mullingar Park Hotel, aims to inspire and motivate job seekers and in the midlands region.
With nearly 50 exhibitors offering a wide range of job opportunities, talks, and exclusive one-on-one sessions with experts, the expo is designed to empower attendees and provide valuable resources for career advancement.
Dr Norah Patten, an Irish aeronautical engineer and award-winning STEM advocate, is the keynote speaker at the expo, kindly sponsored by Robotics and Drives.
Her ground-breaking achievements in the field of aeronautical engineering and contributions to space exploration have made her a role model for aspiring scientists and engineers.
As an author and STEM advocate, Dr Patten is committed to promoting the importance of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education among young learners.
Niall (Bressie) Breslin is a highly respected mental health advocate, public speaker, musician, and author. His talk, ‘Finding Peace in the Chaos of the Modern World’, will share his insights and inspirational journey. As a former professional rugby player and bestselling author, Bressie’s experiences and insights on resilience, mental health, and personal growth promise to motivate and empower attendees.
“We are delighted to have such prominent speakers, Norah Patten and Bressie at this year’s Midlands Career Expo,” said Allyson English, president Mullingar Chamber.
“Norah is a real inspiration for young people, especially young women, thinking about a career in science, technology, engineering or manufacturing. She will definitely inspire and motivate.
“Wellbeing is and should be part of people’s everyday lives. Bressie’s passion for mental health awareness and his ability to connect with audiences make him an inspirational figure. We believe his presence will have a profound impact on our attendees as they navigate their career paths.”
Other speakers include:
