Sympathy to all of the family at this time.Shoe BoxesThe time is fast approaching and we need to decide if we are going to continue the tradition of doing the shoe boxes, which we have done for the past 5 or 6 years. It is a great chance to give to those under privileged and to fit so many items that we set no value on into a shoe box that can bring so much joy to those orphaned and sick children on Christmas Day. Please decide over this coming week if you would like the tradition to do the boxes as time is moving on.Sponsored Head ShaveThree local lads namely Colm and Lennie Clavin and Les Byrne, Windmill, Streamstown are very busy growing heads of hair and Les Byrne is also growing a beard for the Sponsored Head Shave which is scheduled for Friday the 24th of October in The Beech Tree in aid of Cancer Research. Hoping all will be generous in sponsoring these gentlemen in this very worthy cause. Please come along and support them on the 24th.I.C.A.Congratulations to the Horseleap Streamstown ICA for winning the Nancy Ball Cup for a Vegetable Platter at the I.C.A. Millnore started well with a great cross from Adamson to Jim McCormack who hit his shot against the post. Ten minutes later Adamson hit a shot just wide but before half time a corner from the right from Justin Watts was met with power from Andrew Meares who headed Millnore Rovers into the lead. Millnore had a chance with Rigney coming close only for the impressive Kilcormac keeper. In the second half Millnore Rovers went 2 up from a cross from the left which was met by Adamson who played off Mick Larrigy to finish well in the corner of the net. Millnore Rovers could have had more but had to wait until the 88th minute from a cross from the left was met by Andrew McCormack who headed the ball into the corner leaving the keeper with no chance.Millnore Rovers would once again thank all of the supporters for their great support on the day.
