Captains' Dinner a huge success

NEW FOREST GOLF CLUB NOTES

Both captains, Shirley and Conor, joined forces to provide members with a celebratory and intimate night to look back at the year of their captaincy.

With official duties mostly done, it was a night for both them to reflect on their previous year’s accomplishments.

While their year was definitely challenging, especially following Covid, both captains took on their roles with gusto, both individually and collectively, and the best interest of the members and the club were always at the forefront of their intentions.

Both thanked their respective partners and family for supporting them throughout the year and both the committees came in for particular mention for their support and encouragement throughout the captaincy.

Vice-captains Catherine Groome and Ciaran Leavy were thanked, especially for their unflinching support throughout, and were wished the best of luck in their incoming roles.

A really lovey meal was followed by the presentation of all outstanding awards. The evening concluded with music, dancing and drinks in the bar.

Sincere thanks to Shirley and Conor for a thoroughly enjoyable night and your continued hard work and commitment to New Forest members during your time at the helm.
