Stars 'Elvis Presley' and 'Tina Turner', just back from their impressive performances at the Tang Lip-Synch event, got a great reaction when they turned up to perform at the annual Harvest Hoedown in Ballymore, held to raise funds for the annual senior citizens' party, which takes place in December.
The Elvis performer was local parish priest, Fr Oliver Devine, while Edel Hanly from Tang did Tina Turner.
A great night was enjoyed by the large crowd who dined and later danced to the music of Bruce McCormack.
Attendees dug deep to support the raffle and auction on the night, the most unusual auction being ten bales of silage which netted a tidy €350, which helped bring the total sum raised by the event to €3,500.
