Castlepollard ‘Cúpla Focal’ entertainment session at library

Castlepollard Irish language group ‘Cúpla Focal’ are organising a light entertainment session in Castlepollard Library today, Wednesday 13 March, at 3pm. There will be traditional music, songs and poems as Gaeilge at this event as well as the cupán tae. All are welcome.

The Cupla Focal group has 12 members and meets weekly in the library. Seachtain na Gaeilge offers everyone encouragement to speak a little Irish and celebrate our rich culture.

In recent years the Irish language has gone through a revival as people recognise its importance to our identity. North Westmeath has a long tradition of promoting Irish and this is an opportunity for people to celebrate this.
