Watching the ducks on the Gaine at last year’s race.Multyfarnham is fortunate to have a modern community centre, and BMB Ballinafid Multyfarnham Bunbrosna Active are among the groups who make good usage of it; many of their events are made possible by the availability of the multifunctional building.
The escalating costs associated with the ongoing running of this building – insurance, electricity, heating and maintenance – are defrayed slightly by charitable fundraising.
One such event is the annual duck race on the River Gaine at Gaine Park, at noon on Easter Sunday, March 31.
As well as the excitement of the ducks racing, visitors might also get a glimpse of the Easter Bunny, or a child could discover the joy of finding a hidden Easter egg! You never know your luck! Your support at the event is welcomed.
