Planning sought for new use of Bank of Ireland building in Pollard
Planning permission is being sought to transform the ground floor of the old Bank of Ireland building in Castlepollard into a day service facility for local people with intellectual disabilities.
If the application by D and P Murphy is given the green light, the building will be used by the Muiríosa Foundation to provide a range of services for between 17 to 25 people.
Opening a day service facility in Castlepollard will enable users to “re-engage back in their local community rather than travelling to Mullingar”, according to the cover letter.
The decision due date for the application is May 25.
