Two hospitalised as lorry leaves road at Tullanisky

Two people have been hospitalised following a crash just outside Mullingar today.

It happened around 2pm on the R400 at Tullanisky when a lorry left the road and crashed through the garden wall of a house.

Emergency services, including two garda vehicles, two ambulances and two fire units arrived on the scene shortly after the incident.

The two occupants of the vehicle, both male, were taken to the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar with non life-threatening injuries.

Westmeath County Council also attended the scene of the crash. The road surface was damaged and diversions were put in place.
