‘Windows to the Soul’ at the Atrium
‘Windows to the Soul’ is the title of the latest art exhibition running at the Atrium space, Westmeath County Buildings. A joint show, featuring work by Crane Bird Studio and Art School students and participants in the All Life Arts community group, the exhibition launched on Thursday May 2.
The artists include Janet Rowley, Susan Brennan, Zach Keyworth, Vanja Vizner, Ray James, Adrian Masterson, Mary Ahearne, Aida Cassiano, Nicole Henriques and Eliana Santo.
The multidisciplinary exhibition launch will also feature an introduction from Rory Hafford of his eighth book, One Night. The tale of a philosophy professor who is beginning to show signs of psychosis, the book is written largely through the language of psychosis and comes with its own soundtrack of 11 original songs. The songs, also written by Hafford, were recently chosen as album of the week on Lyric FM.
This artworks included in the exhibition are a diverse range of media, styles, and themes, reflecting the vibrant artistic activity among the creative community in Westmeath. From paintings and sculptures to creative writing, each creative work reflects the individuality and passion of its creator, inviting visitors to explore and connect with the art on a deeper level.
Organiser and Crane Bird Art School owner Aida Cassiano said: "I want to create a bridge that can link students, artists, and community together to create educational experiences, moments of joy and creativity."
The exhibition runs until May 17.
