The Student Council in Loreto College Mullingar organised Culture Day on Monday May 13 to celebrate and appreciate the 29 different cultures represented in the school community.
That 29 is the biggest number to date, in this the third year of the event. Students were encouraged to get involved by setting up displays with facts about their countries and cultures.
This year, there was a focus on celebrations and festivities within each culture and there was a marvellous display of the amazing celebratory clothing and food.
There was a great atmosphere in the college concert hall and everybody really enjoyed the event.
