Mullingar Art Circle for Women to host exhibition this Friday
A local group of artists are set to hold an exhibition of their work this week while also raising funds for worthy charities.
The Mullingar Women's Art Circle will exhibit their work this Friday, June 7, at 7pm in the Cúige Studios on Dominick Street.
The fundraising evening is in aid of Temporary Emergency Accommodation Midlands (TEAM) and Westmeath Support Services Against Domestic Abuse (WSSADA).
The Women’s Art Circle raises funds for women who have been affected by domestic violence or homelessness, and it is led by visual artist Rachel Coyne.
Rachel holds a BA Degree in Fine Art from ATU Galway and attended a postgraduate course at the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture in 2019.
She holds children and adults art classes weekly at Cúige Studios, which she co-founded in 2022, where she teaches painting, colour theory, drawing, life drawing and critical exchange in her weekly classes.
More information about the event and the classes can be found on their Facebook page here.
