Scanlon’s Kinnegad 'rises from ashes after recent fire'

Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Peter Burke TD officially opened the newly refurbished Scanlon’s Bar and Restaurant in Kinnegad.

Present with him for the ribbon cutting were, (from left) Trevor Byrne, Naomi Byrne, Fr Tom Gilroy, and Cllr Denis Leonard.

On Friday last, Minister Burke said: "Congratulations to Trevor and Naomi Byrne and all the team in Scanlon's Kinnegad, on a great re-opening night as it rises from the ashes after a recent fire.

"Best of luck as the food service recommences today. I was delighted to cut the ribbon last night and give them a dig out in the kitchen!"
