Two arrested as gardaí seize cocaine worth €140,000

A man and woman were arrested after gardaí seized cocaine worth €140,000 following a search in Limerick city on Wednesday.
The suspected cocaine was seized on Wednesday evening when gardaí stopped a vehicle on the southside of the city.
Large packages containing the cocaine were seized following a search of the vehicle.
The seized drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) to undego further analysis.
A man (40s) and a woman (teens) have been arrested in connection with this seizure and are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in the Southern Region.
Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.
