Workshop to help reduce food waste - and your grocery bills

If you would like to reduce the quantity of waste produced in your house, a workshop next month might suit you.

It takes place on Tuesday September 24 at the library in Castlepollard (11am-12.30pm), and there Anna Browne will guide you through a “fun and interactive workshop that dives into the critical issue of food waste and explores practical solutions for reducing it in our daily lives”.

As well as reducing your environmental footprint, less food waste means you should save money on grocery bills and it gives the opportunity for you to support local food producers and systems.

The event is supported by Creative Ireland and Westmeath County Council, and it celebrates Ireland’s Sustainable Development Goals Week.

Contact Castlepollard Library at 044 9332199 or cpdlib@westmeathcoco.ie to book your place (required).
