Council seeking views of the public to help shape future of local towns

Westmeath County Council surveys concerning the future of Kinnegad, Rochfortbridge, and Kilbeggan remain open till September 13.

The three towns have been chosen to receive funding for a Community and Town Data Collection Exercise under the government’s Town Centre First Initiative, and Westmeath County Council are enabling this project, which will help to inform a strategy for the future of the towns.

The involvement of the public is important; the council want to hear what people think about Kinnegad, as their views will help shape a future vision for Kinnegad.

Tell them what you think by completing the survey online before 5pm on Friday September 13. The survey is anonymous, and you should not enter personal details.

If you have questions, contact the Regeneration Project Team, Westmeath County Council: 044 9332000: regen@westmeathcoco.ie.

Members of the team will be at Kilbeggan Parish Centre on Tuesday September 3, 11am-6.30pm; at Rochfortbridge Community Hall on Wednesday September 4, 11am-6.30pm; and Serenity House, Kinnegad on Thursday September 5, from 11am to 6.30pm, where members of the public can meet them to discuss the project.
